March has been a very busy month for us here at WeShape. We’ve had a new starter, Bowles (External training), a very important birthday and much more!
WeShape had a new starter this month, Daniel Stapley, who has come in as an Operations Assistant. Dan will be working closely with Mas and Pat on the Ops team, he’s already had a massive impact on the day to day running of the company and we can’t wait to see what else he achieves!

At the beginning of the month the team set off to Kent for a few days of external training at Bowles. We were given various tasks and challenges to help understand and develop our individual leadership skills and styles. From being led blind folded by our teammates in various situations to doing a 25 foot leap of faith, everyone was pushed to do things we didn’t think we would and each member of WeShape rose to the challenge and should be incredibly proud.
A few of the lovely ladies celebrated International Women's day with breakfast in Dishoom. You can read what international women's day means to Eden Spelzini here.
Some of the team got dressed up and headed to the DevOps Excellence Awards, sponsored by Computing, where we were nominated for three awards, including Rising Star of the Year (Marty Sweet), Best DevOps Consulting Firm and Best DevOps Services company. We are super pleased to have won the award for Best DevOps Services company! The team had a great night out celebrating the win and hope to retain the award next year!
WeShape celebrated our 4th birthday this month. We all gathered on our roof top for a few drinks and food to celebrate the occasion. From all the team we would like to say a big congratulations to Chris and Jack for all of their hard work and success.
Arguably the biggest event of the month was our very own Chris Monticolombi’s Charity boxing match. Chris fought at the WCB Ultra White Collar event at Troxy in East London to raise money for Cancer Research UK. He absolutely smashed it with a win in the third round, well done Chris we’re all super proud of you!
We kicked off ‘People at WeShape’ at the end of the month, this is an open floor discussion for people to share something that is close to them. Safiyah kicked this off by sharing her experiences around Ramadan. She spoke about the importance of traditions and community during this period of time and what it means to her. The team loved to hear about Safiyah’s experiences and found it very insightful - thanks for sharing Saf!
