This month, the WeShape team got up to quite a lot, as we tend to do every month! More new starters, team incentives, volunteering and our Q3 kick off all took place in July. We also celebrated birthdays and MVP of the quarter. It’s safe to say that we’ve been very busy and had a lot of fun.
Firstly, I would like to give a very warm welcome to our new starters. Luke Wilde who joined us in early July. Luke has joined the team as a Senior Events and Sponsorship Lead and will be focusing on pushing our events such as London Tech Leaders and London Devops.
Luke has hit the ground running since starting with us Launching our flagship London Tech Leaders event this month. The 14th LTL will be hosted at GfK’s stunning London office and rooftop bar space on the the 7th of September. We have an amazing panel lined up for the event that will cover the topic of "What makes a good leader?". If you’re interested in finding out more or attending the event head over to the LTL Website.
We also had Harry Duddridge join the Accounts Development team as a Client Partnership Lead alongside our lovely Lana. He'll be supporting Lana with managing our key accounts, sharing workload, leading accounts and taking clients out on the town! We're super excited to have Harry join the team and can't wait to see what he achieves.
Our quarterly kick off meeting was held at the beginning of the month. This is a great chance for everyone’s voices to be heard and for the directors to update the team with exciting new updates and opportunities for the next quarter.
During our Q3 kick off the directors announced last quarter MVP of the quarter. This is an opportunity for the leadership team to show their appreciation to an individual who has gone above and beyond in their role during the quarter. A massive congratulations to Lana Williams who was awarded with MVP of the quarter. Lana has absolutely smashed it this quarter and we’re all super happy for her!
Our amazing operations and marketing departments, went on a team bonding activity in collaboration with East London Business Alliance (ELBA) and Ivy Street Family Centre. They helped the centre move and build the storage space so it is ready for opening services in September.
We really value and appreciate these opportunities to help build the community around us. Helping young and vulnerable children is a cause we strongly believe in and we are proud to participate in these events, especially during the cost of living crisis. Thank you to ELBA and Ivy Street Family Centre for this opportunity and we look forward to working together more in the future! On Friday 7th July, the WeShape team joined up together for an exciting company wide monthly incentive. After each team completed their set tasks, they finished the day early and enjoyed the time together in the sun at Spitalfields market. This initiative is to ensure that as we scale and grow as a company, we are fostering an inclusive and enjoyable culture for everyone. It was really rewarding to see the team's hard work and effort pay off together.
Lastly, on the last Friday the month we celebrated Pat Morton's (Director of Operations) birthday. We hope you had a lovely birthday weekend celebrating your big day!
That's all from us here at WeShape for this month. Thank you all for reading and we will see you in August!
