Life at WeShape- December

Life at WeShape- December

It’s officially January 2023 and we hope everyone had a fantastic festive period with their friends and families! We’re taking a look back at our festive December period at WeShape.

Firstly, we kicked off December with WeShape’s Christmas party. The evening was full of the famous WeShape Quiz, a raffle, delicious food and drink at Amazing Grace! As this was a record year for WeShape, we were very happy to see everyone having so much fun and celebrating our achievements.

Big winners of the raffle were Vic Williams and Jamie Marney. Despite much debate, the big quiz winners were Eden Spelzini, Charlotte Hamilton, Steven Moore and Pat Bate (no recount of points needed). To check out more of our Christmas party, click here.

On December 2nd, we attended the SME Business Awards at the fantastic Wembley Stadium as finalists for the Corporate Social Responsibility award. Christopher Monticolombi was also shortlisted for Young Business Person of the Year! Although we did not win, we were very thankful to be invited to such an innovative space and to be acknowledged as finalists. To find out more about our impact, click here.

December was a big month for our employees as we had three probation passes and a promotion.

Matt Smith was promoted from Talent Acquisition Manager to our new Head of Talent Acquisition.

Probation passes:

Congratulations to our employees for these achievements! We are really happy and looking forward to your future 2023 successes! To find out more about working at WeShape, click here.

Safiyah Zaman and Kamal Minott gave their final presentations at Le Wagon to graduate from their bootcamp and join us full time in the office. Safiyah’s presentation concept was a Le Wagon Marketplace website. This is aimed at prospective students and alumni to buy and sell items from each other. The main target demographic was international students who have moved cities or countries to attend a bootcamp. Kamal’s app concept addressed the pain for people who do not participate in the UK drinking culture and are unsure of socialising activities. He provided the solution which allows you to discover new activities, book times and dates for multiple people and get directions straight to the venue.

We can’t wait to see them in the office more frequently from now on! To find out more about the Tech Pathway and our Fast Trackers like Kamal and Safiyah, click the link here.
