What you’ll be doing. 

This will be a fast paced position joining our Business Development Team, specifically within our SDR function as we look to build new strategic relationships with customers, provide the best service and innovative solutions on a continuous basis. 

You will work directly with our Leadership team and be responsible for booking meetings with new prospects and clients on behalf of our Senior Leaders.

Our priorities for this role: 

  • Build new relationships with prospective customers and provide continuous value through our services, technical expertise, event networks and market insight. 
  • Experienced in Cold calling, network building, identifying prospects, identifying opportunities. 
  • Proactive, positive and confident attitude, not afraid to jump on phone 
  • Previous experience selling solutions (contract or consultants) into the technology market
  • Qualification of meetings and identifying appropriate buying signals. 
  • Ensure we continue to provide a premium service. 
  • Regular meetings with customers to identify opportunities and develop continual relationships with wider business partners / stakeholders. 
  • Identify opportunities and new business via engaging relevant stakeholders to win incremental business. 

How we achieve these priorities will be up to you, but we’d imagine a typical week to include: 

  • Establishing new business opportunities and relationships with prospective customers.
  • Building relationships at community networking events. 
  • Making initial cold calls to introduce WeShape, conducting the WeShape pitch, book follow up meetings on behalf of Senior Leaders 
  • Targeting 60+ calls a day to decision makers (CTO, Heads Of)

This role is for you if: 

  • Enjoy business development and establishing new relationships. 
  • Perhaps you’re stifled by working in a large organisation, and want the flexibility to implement your own ideas and want the opportunity to grow within a fast moving business
  • A good listener who implements learning effectively. 
  • Passionate about results and out-performing targets.
  • Ideally enjoys the technology market and active interest in learning about the industry, trends and attending events to network.
  • Disciplined and can operate autonomously, but also ask for guidance when required. 
  • The ability to learn quickly and be consistent
  • Previous experiences / scenarios in a professional setting (sales focused role - B2B and corporate environment).
  • You’re not receiving the training, investment and tools you need to make the most of your skills 
  • You enjoy a varied role ( we know everyone says ‘no 2 days are the same’, but here no 2 hours are the same)
  • Working in the office required for this role (commutable to the office) and good written / verbal communication is imperative.

Ideally you’ll: 

  • Bring 1-2 years sales experience (Consulting, Technology Sales / Recruitment) or similar 
  • Solid understanding of the technology market, ideally within the DevOps, Software Engineering, Cloud and Data markets. 
  • Hold previous experience and confident with cold calling
  • Have a commercial and entrepreneurial mindset 
  • Solution focused and confident in dealing with high priority engagements (ability to turn around solutions / delivery rapidly)
